Have you explored our local nature trail? Laura Frese will be leading a hike starting at the Cheverly Avenue & Arbor Street entrance. The trail is fairly easy and a reasonable distance for all ages, but it is not a handicapped accessible trail and there might be some difficulty navigating strollers. There is street parking available. The group will meet at the trailhead at 10am. Bring water and dress for the weather. The local blog, ichoosecheverly.com, has a great write up on the trail.
Magruder Spring Park is the location of Magruder Spring, also known as Cheverly Spring. These springs were used by the British in 1814 as they marched on Washington. Both Magruder Spring and Crawford's Adventure Spring were designated in 1980 as Prince George's County Historic Resources.
