Full-Time Programs
Camps
Full-Time Programs
These programs run throughout the summer with before and after-care options necessary for working parents and are generally enrolled/billed in week segments to allow flexibility. Most allow children to enroll in as few as one segment if you are looking for a more abbreviated camp experience.
Young children participate in a full-day program which includes arts, nature studies, outdoor and pool time. Grades school children can choose four classes from a variety of fine and performing arts and physical fitness units.
Ages: 3-5 "Creative Little Kids", grades 1-4 "Junior Campers", grades 5-7 "Senior Campers"
Dates: June 21-July 2 (Session I), July 6-16 (Session II), July 19-30 (Session III), August 2-13 (CASA Sampler)
Times: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with early care available at 7:30 and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $700 per two-week session (additional cost for early and after care)
New Hope Academy Discovery Summer Enrichment Program
Weekly swimming and field trips, arts and crafts, sports and activities, and lots of fun - plus learning experiences through computers, cooking, drama, games, recreational reading, etc.
Ages: 6-13 (entering grades 1-8)
Dates: June 14 - August 20 in week-long segments. Enroll for all sessions or sign up for specific weeks throughout the summer.
Times: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with early care available at 7:15 a.m. and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $170 per week (additional cost for early and after care)
St. Ambrose School Summer Camp
Each week has different themes and field trips. More information will be released soon.
Ages: Entering grades pre-K (turning 4 before Sept. 1) to 8
Dates: June 28 - August 6
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with early care available at 7:00 a.m. and after care until 6:00 p.m.

St. Matthew's Episcopal Day School
Ages: 2-5
Dates: This program operates for 12 calendar months of the year, beginning on or about the 1st of July and extending to the end of June of the following year.
Times: 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Camps
Camps generally have a specific focus and last only one to two weeks.
Concordia Summer Day Camp 2010
Kids enjoy crafts, games, water play, enrichment classes, etc. with off campus field trips to National Zoo, Watkins Park Nature Center, Natural History Museum, Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Roller Skating and Mini Golf and Splash Park, etc.
Ages: Preschool 3s (must be potty-trained and turn 3 by Sept. 1, 2010) through the completion of grade 5
Dates: June 28-July 9 (closed July 5); July 12-23; July 26-August 6
Times: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with early care available at 7:00 a.m. and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $260 per child w/additional child $220 for two week session. Registration fee of $20 per child per session (additional cost for early and after care).
Friends Community School Sports and Recreation Camps
Camps focus on all skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Experienced coaches teach ball handling skills, positions, strategies, and positive team dynamics.
Ages: Entering grades K-8
Dates: August 2-6 (Soccer and Recreation), August 9-13 (Lacrosse and Recreation)
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with early care available at 8:00 and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $215 per one-week session (additional cost for early and after care)
Friends Community School Science and Arts Camps
Experienced camp staff are led by a team of professional scientists and artists, from a broad range of disciplines. Mornings focus on science, and afternoons on art.
Ages: Entering grades K-8
Dates: July 5-15 (Bug-Eyed Fun), July 19-30 (Oh, I want to be an Engineer!)
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with early care available at 8:00 and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $425 per two-week session (additional cost for early and after care)
A wide variety of offerings including Kinder Camp, Creative Kids Camp (with a focus on creative and performing arts), Circus Camp, the traditional Camp Pine Tree, Youth on the Go, and Camp Encore (for theater arts).
Ages: 3-15
Dates: June 21 to August 13
Times: Kinder Camp half-day is from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All full-day programs are from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with early care from 7:00 a.m. and after care to either 5:15 or 6:00 p.m. (depending on age)
Price: Kinder Camp half-day is $175 per week. Kinder Camp full-day is $291 per week. Other camp program prices vary (additional cost for early and after care).
Prince George's County Parks and Recreation Camps
General recreation camps feature arts & crafts, sports, swimming and field trips. Innovative specialty camps feature nature, visual and performing arts, computers, sports and more.
Ages: 3 1/2 - 5 (Pre-School Camps), 6-12 (Children and Youth Camps), 10-17 (Teen and Pre-Teen Camps), 6-17 (Mixed Age Camps)
Dates: June 21 - August 13 in two-week segments
Times: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with early care available at 7:00 a.m. and after care available until 6:00 p.m. Early and after care are not offered for pre-school camps.
Price: Varies depending on program
Little Friends for Peace Summer Camp
Camps are held at the Mount Rainier Nature Center and in other locations in MD, DC, and VA. They explore what peace means and how peacemakers make peace, how to use non-violent means to solve problems, how to make art and music, and hold a Peace Festival and Parade celebration.
Ages: varies
Dates: June 22 - August 28 in one-week segments
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Price: $115 per week for 1 p.m. dismissal, $150 per week for 3 p.m. dismissal
A wide variety of camps focusing on fine and performing arts, sciences, animals, writing, dinosaurs, story-telling, space, history and more.
Ages: Entering grades K-9
Dates: June 21 - August 13 in one-week segments
Times: Half-day camps are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Full-day camps are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with early care available at 8:00 and after care available until 6:00 p.m.
Price: $243 per week for half-day, $428 per week for full-day (additional cost for early and after care)
