Playgroup

Weekday playgroup for babies through kindergartners meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:30-11:30am, at Gast "Cheese" Park in nice weather, or at the Community Center in cool (65 degrees or less) or inclement weather. Some days we may meet at someone's home, or plan a special outing. The group is geared toward young children (birth to preschool) but all are welcome.

Weekend playgroup meets at Gast "Cheese" Park on Sundays from 3:00-5:00pm. This is a very informal group, and activities are cancelled for inclement weather. Kids should feel free to bring balls for the field, trucks for the dirt, etc. No one has to stay the entire time - just come when you can and stay as long as you'd like.

Participating in playgroup is a great way to get to know other families with young children in Cheverly! As well as playgroup proper, field trips/activities are sometimes arranged. In the past, these outings have included storytime at a bookstore, restaurant outings, potlucks at the Cheverly Swim & Racquet Club, and performances at Publick Playhouse. Occasionally, special events during playtime include holiday parties, potluck lunches, or art projects.
